An evening to celebrate Autumn. A walking meditation to start off and then in the hall, a slow, deep yin practice to release stress and tension. The Autumn guided meditation continues that process and we end with yummy homemade cake, hot drink and chat (18 years+)

About the event

In yoga and Ayurveda, there are 5 elements: earth, water, fire, air and ether 

This evening we explore how reconnecting to nature outside of us can help us reconnect to our true, inner nature

Stepping out into a nearby park, forest or natural space where we can experience some of the elements has been shown to dramatically improve wellbeing, from lowering blood pressure to boosting the immune system, improving mental health and enhancing longevity.

This evening starts with a walk (meeting place if different to the hall tbc nearer the time) where we take time to notice nature and the elements around us.

Once back in the hall , we can snuggle down in to blankets and pillows on our yoga mats as we move into our autumnal yin yoga practice. Yin yoga invites your body to let go of held stress and tension in both your physical body and the mind. It can also help to ground your energy and promote more rejuvenating rest.  This class will end with a short autumnal, visual imagery meditation and then home made cake, hot drink and chat.
