About the event

Gratitude, a very powerful positive emotion is the act of expressing appreciation and thankfulness towards something or someone in your life.

Gratitude has been shown to improve mood, decrease depression, improve relationships, and reduce stress. In fact, research shows that practicing gratitude can lead to an overall happier, healthier, and longer life.

There are many ways to practice gratitude in daily life including integrating it into your yoga practice.

This yoga flow will focus on calming and grounding poses that help you get in touch with the energy of gratitude. Poses to open, expand and lift our hearts, and arms stretched to symbolise the outreach of giving to someone else.

This is followed by a short session to explore how we can get more gratitude into our daily lives.

The Metta (or Loving Kindness) Meditation is a practice linked to self-love, empathy, understanding and kindness. It involves reciting (in your mind) positive phrases toward yourself and others. It's especially useful for reducing negative emotions toward yourself and other people. Yummy cake, hot drink and chat to end a heart warming evening
